Elena Jane ''Ellie'' Goulding, is an English singer as well as a songwriter. She had first signed to Polydor Records in July 2009. She became the second artist to top the BBC's annual 'Sound of...' poll and win the Critic's Choice Awards at the Brit Awards in 2010. She then released her debut studio album in 2010 and it hit at number 1 in the UK album's chart and she has sold over 850,000 copies in the UK alone. She performed a cover of Elton John's 'Your Song' and it reached number two in the UK in December 2010 and she then had the honour of performing the song at the wedding reception of Prince William and Catherine Middleton. The same album was them released a few months later in 2011 in the USA and it peaked at number two on the US Billboard Hot 100. Her second studio album, which was released in late 2012, debuted at number two on the UK album chart and eventually reached number 1. In the US, it reached number nine on the Billboard 200. Her single on that album was called 'Burn' and it became her first UK number one single. She then won the award for 'British Female Solo Artist' at the 2014 Brit Awards. In December 2015, she received her first Grammy Award nomination for 'Best Pop Solo Performance' for her then latest single, 'Love Me Like You Do'.

The synopsis for this is quite basic as the music video just represents young adults celebrating life in a display of joy.

Lyrics Analysis
At the start of the song, Goulding sings 'We don't have to worry bout' nothing'. This line means that as young adults, they shouldn't have to worry about loads of little problems and they should live life and enjoy it as much as they can whilst they're able to.
In the chorus, she sings, 'giving love to the world'. This means that everyone should spread good vibes and happy thoughts in the world to make it a better place instead of all the hate going around. This means that if they were spreading love, they wouldn't have a worry in the world which is the lyric I mentioned above.
Overall, this song and the lyrics mainly connect to young adults and teenagers telling them to live their lives the best they can while they are able to and if people are spreading positivity, they world would become a better place. The title of the song, which is 'Burn', could mean that they are burning away all the bad memories in life and replacing them with new better ones.
Mise-en-Scene
Setting
The song starts off with Goulding herself and she seems to be travelling with a bunch of her friends. They seem to be on an isolated road filled with green fields in a car that's best described as 'road-trip' material. It mainly shows them all having fun and living life while they can as that is what the song is meant to be all about.
It then shows her singing in a field filled with lights and candles whilst it builds up towards the bridge of the song. It then switches settings to a party scene which is again filled with lights everywhere and it ends on the same scene.
Costume/Make-Up
Goulding and the other actors/actresses used in the video seem to be wearing very ordinary clothes that just consist of shorts and t-shirts. She starts off by wearing all black in the first scene and then changes outfits throughout with changing into all white towards the end. This could mean that she's showing the message that all the bad memories in your life don't matter and everything turns out better and brighter at the end.
Key Shots/Camera Movements/Edits
I think that the GIF below is one of the best camera movements and edits in one shot because it shows an establishing, high shot of the city below which is filled with lights and it quickly changes so all the lights turn off and the city turns black into darkness.
