This is a British Record Label that operates as a part of Universal Music Group. As it has a close relation to Universal Interscope Geffen A&M Records label in the USA, they distribute Polydor's releases in the US and in turn, Polydor distributes Interscope's releases in the UK. It was founded on the 2nd of April 1913 and it was later established in London in 1954 as a British subsidiary of a German Company called 'Deutsche Grammophon GmbH'. It was later renamed in 1972 as Polydor Ltd. Some artists that are with this record label is Cheryl Cole, Lana Del Rey and Elton John.
Interscope Records
This is a major American record label. Their parent company is Universal Music Group and it is an imprint of Interscope Geffen A&M Records. The main genres they distribute are pop, rock, rap and hip-hop. It is also a subsidiary of Vivendi S.A.. It was founded in 1990 by Jimmy Iovine and Ted Field. They had its first hit records less than a year after it was founded and achieved profitability in 1993. It is headquartered in Santa Monica, California. Some of their artists include Madonna, Eminem and Lady Gaga.
