Focus Group
- 'The music video showed great production value and I loved how she told the storyline so well. It was easy to follow what was happening and she stayed in her character really well. She portrayed the facial expressions really well and it looked believable'.
- 'I liked the shot at the beginning when the car came in and they shown at establishing shot of the manor house. I also liked how the lighting was shown when she was holding the apple towards the bridge of the song'.
- 'I like how she used the apple symbolically as a voodoo doll and shown exactly what pain she was causing to her love interest as well. I also liked that some of the shots were in slow motion because it went well with the beat of the song'.
- I have learnt that the mise-en-scene should match the tone of the song.
- It's effective to edit some shots in slow motion as it shows a lot of detail and sometimes goes better with the beat of the song rather than at normal speed.
- I have also learnt that if I wanted to create a music video with a story line, I need to plan it out carefully so that the music video actions match the lyrics and what the singer is saying and it has to relate to the lyrics.
